Submission
of Abstracts
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists are
pleased to invite abstract submissions pertinent to fetal
and maternal medicine, reproductive medicine, family
planning and urogynaecology, oncology, community gynecology
and professional development & International Initiatives for
the 8th International Scientific Meeting 2009. Abstracts
submitted that demonstrate high quality research practices
and relevancy to the meeting’s learning outcomes will be
selected for oral and poster presentation at the meeting.
Authors may request that their abstract be considered for an
oral presentation only, or a poster presentation only.
Please include details of any published articles related
to your work or presented at a meeting of another national
or international scientific organization prior to this
meeting.
ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
- Oral presentations: Approximately 64 abstracts will be
selected for oral presentations during the International
Scientific Meeting 2009. Oral presentations will include a 10
minute presentation by one of the abstract authors.
Presenters will be limited to a maximum of 15 slides. All
oral presentations will be followed by questions from the
audience.
- Poster presentations: Posters will be presented on the 7-
9 December 2009. Authors will be assigned a time period
during which they are expected to be with their poster to
answer questions from meeting attendees. Posters must fit on
a 4’ x 6’ vertical display panel.
- Researchers must demonstrate that rigorous scientific
methods and appropriate program planning and means of
evaluation were employed.
- Authors must disclose whether or not the research
conducted was supported in any way by commercial
organizations, including any grants or in-kind donations.
- Do not include references, acknowledgements or brand names
in the abstract.

must be submitted no later than 25 July 2009 to

Abstracts
will be available on CD's, we advise to bring your laptop
with you to be able to see the content of the CD during the
conference.
