Under the
Patronage of Her Highness, Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, The
Royal Collage of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists will be
holding its 8th International Scientific Meeting in Abu
Dhabi, UAE. The meeting will be held at the majestic
Emirates Palace from December 7th-9th , 2009 , marking its
first time in the Region.
Welcome
We are delighted
to welcome you to the 8th International Scientific Meeting in Abu
Dhabi. The scientific programme has been drawn up in consultation
with our colleagues in the UAE and the British Specialist Societies
and we hope that the topics selected are of practical relevance and
interest. We have invited plenary speakers to talk on up-to the
minute topics that should be of interest to everyone, while the more
specialized areas are covered by equally eminent speakers organized
into four streams, themed such as Fetomaternal;
Gynaecology; Gynae Cancer and Education and Ethics.
The setting of
the Congress will be the Emirates Palace, situated on a private
white sandy beach surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and
is only 30 minutes drive from Abu Dhabi airport and 1½ hours drive
from Dubai airport. Abu Dhabi's restaurants and cafés reflect every
taste and culture with a variety of cuisines from around the world.
There are plenty of historical and contemporary sites for visitors
to explore in order to obtain an understanding of the local culture
so as you can see there is plenty to look forward to from the
perspective of both participants and accompanying persons. The
weather in Abu Dhabi in December should be a pleasant 25°c (77°F).
As always those meetings provide a good opportunity to network with
your colleagues and catch up with friends, I hope you will all come
along and contribute to the meeting and we very much look forward to
you joining us in Abu Dhabi.
