The 8th International Scientific Meeting of Obstetrics and
Gynaecology is being held in Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE.

Abu Dhabi is the Capital of UAE
On December 7th,from 10 am to 1 pm, guests will be offered a
tour of the city sometimes called the Manhattan
of the Middle East. The tour will include among other places
a visit of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the largest mosque in
the UAE and the sixth largest mosque in the world, the
Heritage Village which will then be followed by a drive
along the beautiful Corniche (beach) where you can take
photographs of the city skyline.
On December 8th,from 10 am to 1 pm for a unique shopping
experience, guest will go to Madinat Zayed Shopping Center
and the Gold Souq (market) while in the afternoon, from 1:30
pm to 4:30 pm the more contemporary Marina Mall will offer
shopping areas that house hundreds of stores selling a wide
variety of goods.
Badges
The name badge is issued to
delegates upon registration serves as an admission pass to
all scientific sessions, the exhibition and inclusive social
events. Delegates are asked to ensure that they wear their
name badges at all times.
Business Centre:
A business centre will be available in the exhibition area
with laptops and internet on cocktail tables.
Cash
Machines
ATM machine is available in main lobby area of the hotel.
All Abu Dhabi malls have ATM machines (Marina Mall is the
nearest one to the Hotel).
Certificate of Attendance
The organizing company will be
sending the certificates of attendance to all the delegates
at the end of the conference.
Dress
Code
Should be a corporate look for the meeting, and smart casual
for the desert Gala Dinner.

made to present the programme as printed. However, the
organizers reserve the right to alter or cancel, without
prior notice, any arrangements, timetables, plans or other
items relating directly or indirectly to the conference, for
any cause beyond our reasonable control. RCOG and its agents
are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a
result of such cancellation. Delegates are advised to take
out their own travel insurance and to extend their policy to
cover personal possessions as the meeting does not cover
individuals against cancellation of bookings or theft or
damage to belongings. Tours run by third parties may be
subject to cancellation fees should minimum numbers not be
achieved.
Exhibition
An exhibition of related products, services and technologies
is being held concurrently with the meeting.

Posters will be judged for a prize and it is therefore
important that they are assembled at the correct time.
Posters will be viewed during morning and afternoon
refreshment breaks and at lunchtime.
You are requested to be present at your poster during the
lunchtime for any questions.
Please note that the Organizing Committee will not be
responsible for posters which are not removed on time.

Aid
The Emirates Palace Hotel has a
clinic where you can find all kinds of first aid help, with
a nurse ready to assist you at any time. Please inform any
of Synovetics information desks or any employee of the hotel
if needed.

Mobile phones must be switched

Oral
and Poster Prizes
The oral and poster presentations will be judged and a
certificate for the best poster and best oral presentation
for each stream will be awarded each day. The names of the
winners will be placed on a notice board next to
registration and the certificates will be awarded at the
beginning of the last plenary session on each day.
Posters
Posters will be displayed adjacent to the exhibition hall
These will be changed daily. Posters should be assembled and
dismantled at the following times:

Security
Any security problems or concerns should be reported to a
uniformed member of the security staff of
the hotel.
Smoking Policy
Conference hall are non smoking areas
Other areas of the hotel are smoking areas such as (lobby,
garden, exhibition area)
Speakers’ Preview Room
The speakers’ preview room will be located in room C31on
level 3
All speakers should report to this room at least 1 hour
before their presentation time, even if they are not using
any audio-visual material.
All chairs should report to this at least half an hour
before the session time to confirm that all of the speakers
have checked in. The opening hours are:
Monday from 7:30 am till 5:40 pm
Tuesday from 7:30 am till 5:40 pm
Wednesday from 7:30 am till 1:30 pm
Transport to and from Hotels
The transportation to & from the hotel will be by shuttle
buses (sunshine tours)
Taxis
There will be a taxi stand for Sunshine Tours in the
exhibition area in order to assist you or you can get a taxi
from the Emirates Palace Hotel.
